The Chronicles of Destiny Fortune Cards

The Dreamcatcher Spread

The Dreamcatcher spread, like its namesake, is quite an intricate layout. It exposes the source of any negativity around you and reveals how to attract positivity into your life.

Its positions were founded on Native American teachings, particularly those of the Ojibwe tribe. Below we have clarified the background to each card to help you understand why that position its meaning. Again, as with the Whispering Hall Spread, we would recommend removing Time Flies, Calendar and the extra people significators from the deck before doing the reading, unless you have very clear intentions as to who they represent before you begin.

The Dreamcatcher card is placed in the centre to act as a significator.

Positions 1, 2, 3 and 4 refer to the Four Directions on the Medicine Wheel: East, South, West and North.
Positions 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 take their meanings from the Seven Stages of Life:
5 - The Good Life
6 - The Fast Life
7 - The Wandering Life
8 - The Stages of Truth and Planning
9 - Doing and The Elder Life

If you would like to read more about these traditions Four Directions Teachings has lots of wonderful information!
