Six of Swords Tarot Card Combinations and Meanings
Suit Element:
Air, analytical thought and intellect. Suit of challenges. Keywords and Phrases: Moving on from difficulty. Journey. Six of Swords Tarot Card Meanings Six golden swords accompany the woman on her voyage, as the ornate vessel travels across a calm stretch of water under the light of the full moon, both symbolising emotions. Blue is dominant for the air element, suggesting clarity over emotions. The Six of Swords represents moving away from difficulties and is usually seen as a positive card, indicating that the worst is now behind you and life will settle down. The image still holds an essence of melancholy, perhaps for the difficulties that have been experienced in the process, shown by the accompanying swords on her voyage. The passage becomes easier now as she travels on smooth waters, having come through the other side of challenging times. This card can also represent a journey, sometimes overseas travel, but the interpretation is often a metaphor of the inner journey towards recovery after trying times. If reversed it may show a sense of stalemate where nothing is moving, matters are unsettled, or difficulties remain outstanding and unsolved. Six of Swords Tarot Card Combinations: The Six of Swords is one of the simpler cards to work with in combinations and probably needs little by way of example. Ace of Wands > Four of Cups > Six of Swords: Transitioning away from a new beginning that fizzled out fairly quickly and failed to float your boat, matters will improve in due course. Six of Swords > The Chariot > Four of Wands: Can indicate travel for a short break, holiday. Nine of Swords > Six of Swords > Ten of Cups: Moving on from worries and concerns, a return to happiness in the heart department. Three of Swords > Six of Swords: Moving away from upsets and difficulty towards a calmer phase. Five of Pentacles > Six of Swords: A release and improvement from financial woes, moving on from a tricky patch. Strength > Six of Swords: Keep your head down and keep going, endurance will see you come through the other side (similarly, Nine of Wands).
