King of Swords Tarot Card Meanings The King of Swords type is usually something of a dark horse, they can come across as slightly aloof or detached because they don’t tend to give much away unnecessarily. When they do have something to say they tend to get to the point and not beat around the bush. If asked for an opinion you’ll find it logical and well considered, they’re good with facts and figures and process information quickly, so they have the ability to think on their feet. Swords can be steely so they have strength of character and a tendency to stand up for what they feel is right. As a partner he is strong and loyal and takes responsibilities seriously. In terms of astrological sun signs, Swords could be taken to represent those of the air element. On the downside, they can seem impersonal or insular with a sharp tongue at times.
