Monthly Tarotscope Forecast July 2014
Welcome to the monthly Tarotscope forecast for July 2014. Mercury moves back into direct motion on the 1st taking off the brakes as we hurtle into July.
Moon watch dates for this month are: full moon in Capricorn on the 12th and new moon in Leo on the 26th.
For best results try working with the moon’s energy to bring matters to completion or closure on the full and start anything on the new. If you work vice versa it tends to set things in a pickle – new beginnings stall and stumble, whilst closures around new moon somehow won’t stay closed.
The monthly cards have been drawn based on zodiac signs and will set the tone and framework; if you receive the weekly Tarot Trends newsletter, read them in combination with the monthly cards for deeper insight. (If you’re not signed up yet you can join from the box in the top right corner or from here.)
As always, I must remind you that the Tarot are a wonderful guide but they are not your master, only you can decide what is right for you, no one else has the responsibility for your actions or choices. If you’re looking for answers to a personal situation please book a private reading with me.
Have a great month!
Key card: Nine of Wands
Love: Ten of Pentacles
Career: XIX The Sun
Love & Relationships: The place you call “home” comes under the spotlight this month, both the physical matter (bricks and mortar) of the place, and inter-generational family connections. Whilst you can make good progress it could feel as though it takes you to the end of your tether in the process, but you’re an Aries, (right?) so you thrive on the challenge. Make that your mantra and you’ll be fine!
Buying and selling property, moving, restructuring or improvements, could be in the mix, as could family gatherings – hopefully not all at once! There’s a good opportunity to stabilise finances too and put the family coffers on a firmer footing.
For single Arians, if you’re looking for love the flirty flighty variety won’t hold much interest this month, with more consideration toward practical matters and a committed nature appearing more attractive… and, possibly what your folks think. With these influences, you may just find what you’re looking for, even if you feel as though you’ve been through the trenches when it comes to dating – don’t give up!
Career & Business: Having already seen the personal side you’re probably anticipating the “yes, but… “ from the Nine of Wands, well yes, but… Seriously though – these are great cards!
The Sun is superb for work and business matters; it’s sitting there like the proverbial pot at the end of your rainbow. If it all feels a little world-weary on the way just remind yourself that the best is yet to come, and it’s close. In truth, you’ve probably already been through the worst, now you just need to grit your teeth and do what needs to be done to cross that final hurdle.
If the going gets tough keep The Sun at the forefront of your mind, success is sweet and a well-deserved prize when you’ve worked hard for it. You’re on your way, so pull out all the stops.
Overall, the Nine of Wands is your key card for the month – so keep that mantra in mind that we talked about at the beginning.
Key card: Two of Swords
Love: Ace of Cups
Career: Ace of Wands
Love & Relationships: So, nothing happens, then when it does it all comes at once! Isn’t it always the way? You’ve got the prize for new beginnings this month Taurus – in both areas, no less.
In simple terms the Ace of Cups is the beginning of love, so if you’re single there’s the potential of a new relationship this month. For those happily settled, a new beginning brings happiness into the home… The only thing is you could be in something of a dither, indicating you may be in two minds about it all.
The Two of Swords as your key card this month could easily create a gridlock to proceedings, all round actually, since it is the key, so it’s hard to separate out its influence across the board and the message is going to apply in both areas.
Career & Business: And so it continues… a new career, project, or exciting idea is bursting with the energy of the Ace of Wands. This Ace can also suggest a whole new way of life and, since you also have the Ace of Cups, it could be that the two are connected, so your whole life is on the brink of new beginnings. It’s difficult to see that it can’t be really, with both of them sitting there, smiling at us.
Exciting times, or at least it really should be. Overall, whatever bright new things sweep in with the promise to gladden your heart or light your fire, just watch that you don’t suddenly develop an attack of fence-sitting.
Alternatively, some of you may feel you’re experiencing a deadlock situation that’s preventing you from moving forward in new directions, (but Mercury retrograde is so last season! ;) If this sounds familiar then it may be worth examining your thoughts, because these two Aces are like beacons on the horizon. It’s okay to weigh up your options, just be careful it doesn’t turn into procrastination in the process.
Key card: Eight of Wands
Love: Two of Cups
Career: Seven of Pentacles
Love & Relationships: It’s a fast-paced month with the Eight of Wands in attendance, and it’s in good company – good news all round!
The Two of Cups represents a loving harmonious union and deepening relationship, so it’s perfectly placed in this position. Enjoy time with the person closest to your heart. Quick trips and flying visits (sometimes literally) with your significant other could be in the frame this month. Watch for exciting news too, there should be plenty happening to keep your Gemini heart and mind happy, because it promises to be anything but boring.
If you’re single then you may find that a friendship, or someone with whom you already feel very close, develops into a love relationship. If you’re already dating then your partner could suggest taking things to the next level. All of which could happen quite quickly!
Career & Business: Exciting news comes winging in at work too… so, if you’ve been beavering away then the Seven of Pentacles brings reward for your efforts, finally it’s time to gather in your harvest.
If you’ve been carefully fostering a new client, setting the groundwork for a contract or project, or doing lots of work behind the scenes, then you should receive a green light this month. This is also a good card if you’re trying to raise capital or finance a deal, so loan negotiations are well-aspected if you need to sweet-talk the bank manager or money people.
In some instances, there’s no substitute for putting in the time, effort, and work required, slowly but surely - but whatever you’re working on at the moment will pay dividends in spades later. Though, for most of you, this is that moment you’ve already been methodically working towards.
Overall, it’s a great month and shouldn’t bring anything you can’t handle, so long as it’s dealt with swiftly – otherwise, simply enjoy!
Key card: Nine of Swords
Love: Ace of Pentacles
Career: XIV Temperance
Love & Relationships: Worst fears? With the Nine of Swords as your key card you seem to be a tad worried there, yet the cards in the other areas aren’t really backing this up, or carrying it forward.
The Ace of Pentacles can indicate documents of monetary or material importance; how’s that for romantic? Okay, so you have other things on your mind just now, but evidently they’re important and tends to suggest it’s connected to home in some way.
We could wiggle romance in there, since the Ace of Pentacles can also show gifts of gold but, somehow, I don’t think that would be the cause of your anxiety if it were. The thing is, you see, it actually looks quite good. The Ace of Pentacles could also bring the start of something new that has the potential to bring prosperity, whilst for some the possibility of a financial gift could feature.
A good dollop of the Pentacle grounding energy wouldn’t go amiss, or you could end up worrying over something that may be unfounded. Do your homework, of course, but banish those demons.
Career & Business: Temperance provides good words of advice to the preoccupation in the landscape of your thoughts, and encourages harmony and balance in your approach.
Use patience and moderation in your dealings with others, and be kind to yourself too! Compromise and diplomacy will find satisfactory solutions to move matters forward in the spirit of cooperation, and can successfully integrate any opposing forces. Find your flow within, it will guide you well; yours may be the voice of reason if others are restless or warring around one another.
Take some time this month to unwind, let go and breathe. Temperance is a good card for healing, so make your downtime count and soothe your soul, quieten those niggles in your head, and find your inner balance.
Key card: Four of Swords
Love: Eight of Cups
Career: Knight of Cups
Love & Relationships: The Four of Swords shows you may be pulling back slightly, in readiness for the annual stock check of your life. Month end sees you heading into birthday territory, so it could be that you’re letting go of that which no longer serves you prior to your annual return.
The Eight of Cups indicates abandoning those things that have taken more than their fair share of effort yet left you feeling somewhat disillusioned or short-changed in the emotional stakes. With the Leo sun looming on the horizon you’re allowing sunset on those issues you need to leave behind, ready for the sunrise that follows and indeed, now beckons. Unsightly baggage has no place alongside Leo’s regal style :)
Anything that impacts you on an emotional level comes under these influences, whether clearing the closets or emotional connections, fair weather friends, errant lovers, or simply those things that have drained you to the point of realisation that there is a better way, and to those more deserving of the gifts you bring.
Career & Business: The Four of Swords can indicate a period of rest and recovery after strain but may also see you gathering together your resources. If you’re self-employed or in business this could suggest you’re consolidating reserves at this time.
It’s a good month to grab some rest if possible, and withdraw from the cut and thrust or hurly-burly to recharge your batteries, before recommencing with your personal new year.
It may be worth polishing up your résumé, or at least check it’s up to date, as the Knight of Cups shows there could be an offer or proposal heading in your direction. It could capture your interest or tempt you to look a little more closely, so you don’t want to be caught on the hop. It’s worthy of closer inspection and may bring something you feel ‘floats your boat.’
Key card: XII Hanging Man
Love: King of Pentacles
Career: Seven of Wands
Love & Relationships: The King of Pentacles sits squarely in the love and home sector, which may indicate a bank manager, accountant, or financial consultant of some description, so there could be money matters to deal with.
From a personality perspective, we’re looking at a man with a solid disposition, reliable, steadfast, practical and grounded, possibly who enjoys a methodical or fixed routine. Ring any bells? In some way, he will be important to you this month, so if you’re not sure he connects with someone you know at the moment watch for his entrance into the equation. If you’re male and this sounds like you, then you’re in the driving seat this month!
This is all very well, but the Hanging Man dangles over the top of everything this month, doing what he’s inclined to do, (you know, just hangin’ out) which could be a bit frustrating if you’re in a burn to get on with things.
If it’s a relationship you’re trying to get off the ground, or a spouse you’re trying to shift into gear over something… let’s just say it may take a little longer than anticipated. The aforementioned moneyman may throw something into the pot to make you reconsider plans, or even do a 180 degree turn.
Career & Business: And so to work…The Seven of Wands suggests you may feel the need to defend your position; to stand up for yourself or ideals and principles that are important to you.
Meanwhile, as you’re feeling the courage of your convictions, The Hanging Man could be tapping you on the shoulder, reminding you there’s another way to achieve your aims. This is the card of lateral thinking, looking at things from a different angle in order to find a fresh perspective, and one that could help remove the logjam. This could prove less wearing than the current sense of defending your corner. There is another way, so open your mind to the possibilities…win-win!
Key card: Page of Cups
Love: Six of Pentacles
Career: Ace of Swords
Love & Relationships: At last, it looks to be a good news month, and one that impacts you positively on an emotional level in both areas.
If it’s been a little quiet in the romance department, messages should come winging in to gladden your Libran heart and they could come bearing gifts too (and it’s not even your birthday yet!) You appear to be the recipient of someone’s kindness and generosity of heart, which brings a time for sharing and mutual receptivity.
On home turf there could be welcome news on the financial front, perhaps a little something to help balance those famous scales. A debt or money outstanding may be repaid, although the Six of Pentacles could just as easily bring metaphorical gifts in your direction.
A thoughtful child of sensitive demeanour, possibly a water sign, could feature with tokens of your own generosity, but it appears to be something of a mutual exchange.
Career & Business: In work matters, welcome news received could set the tone toward overcoming a recent setback and see you triumph over adversity.
The Ace of Swords is like the ace up your sleeve; proverbial lemonade from those lemons that previously arrived. It places you in a position to achieve victory in the face of difficulties that may have surrounded a certain matter. Which all sounds very nice, although it does come with a slight caveat, but only in that it’s something achieved through your own actions, it won’t happen all by itself.
Nevertheless, if you can muster up your inner reserves and throw some mental clarity behind it, you should be more than pleased with results this month. (Hunt out those lemons and get blending :)
Key card: IX The Hermit
Love: Four of Wands
Career: Page of Pentacles
Love & Relationships: A sense of stability surrounds hearth and home this month and there should be a general feeling of satisfaction with accomplishment so far.
Gathering your nearest and dearest close to the Scorpio bosom, it’s time for short breaks and holidays, or some well-deserved rest and relaxation with a welcome pause from the activities of daily toil.
Regardless of contentment and gratitude with your lot, you may be in reflective mood and, whilst you’re no stranger to the solace of your inner sanctum, it could make you seem a little preoccupied.
For those who are single, enjoyment may be found with friends and social gatherings; holiday romance is not beyond the realms of possibility, or consolidating connections made in a social setting. Although below the surface you’re in contemplative mode, possibly creating something of a push-pull between welcome ‘you’ time and being sociable.
Some may be in the throes of wedding plans, the planning of which may feel like the precision of a military operation, whilst the rest of us simply wait for the invite to arrive!
Career & Business: The Hermit seems more comfortable alongside the Page of Pentacles in the work area, with this combination emphasising learning, studying, and gaining wisdom. This could be connected to formal academia but any form of learning or courses may also apply.
With The Hermit as the key card, I have the distinct feeling that you’re plotting something quite important on the quiet, although undercover may be the usual modus operandi for Scorpio souls. This seems a bit bigger than the norm, but you seem determined to keep it to yourself until you’re ready to reveal your plans to the world.
Good news may be received regarding finance, and if a customer said the cheque was in the post, they actually meant it!
Key card: Queen of Wands
Love: Six of Wands
Career: Five of Wands
Love & Relationships: For female Sagittarians this may well be your own card. If so: the good news is your future is in your hands. The bad news is, the future is in your hands! It all depends upon your perspective and whether you like being in the driving seat.
You’d think three Wands (fire element) in a fire sign is a good thing but it could create a bit of an imbalance, so let’s just be careful not to fan the flames too much and inadvertently set the place alight. It may seem you’re hot footing it apace, but a level of calm will ensure you don’t drop the ball in the process.
Your reputation is sitting high in the popularity stakes with people singing your praises and seeing you in a good light this month, a situation that can also work in your favour romantically. The Six of Wands can be the bearer of great news, so watch for nice developments that help keep those home fires burning.
For male Centaurs, this lady will be pivotal to your affairs and you may recognise her as outgoing, cheerful and energetic; fire signs can also be indicated.
Career & Business: Work wise, it may feel as if it’s one thing after another but, although irritating, are petty obstacles rather than insurmountable problems. People could be less cooperative than usual, or there may be a slightly competitive edge among colleagues.
It’s not the best month for launching new ideas or product lines as competition could catch you unawares, or supporting services may not quite deliver and cause some glitches en route. Whilst everyone is supposed to be ‘on the same page’ it may not feel like it at times!
Others may be vying for your attention as you attempt to create order out of chaos, so at times it may feel as though you’re trying to herd cats. If sabres are rattling stay out of office politics, so as not to add more fuel to the fire, if left alone it should blow over.
If it all sounds a bit exhausting, take heart, everything will seem worse on the surface than it really is, so don’t get drawn into the drama. If all around you are losing their heads, stay calm, and count to ten.
Key card: XV The Devil
Love: Eight of Pentacles
Career: Four of Pentacles
Whilst everyone else seems to be enjoying their lot the Capricorn goat is still climbing that mountain. No one is disputing that you’re really rather good at it, excellent in fact, but sometimes you need to stop.
If you notice anything about this landscape of your life, you’ll see work and money are dominating with these cards but, more specifically, the influence of The Devil is weighing them down.
(However, If you are out of work, or your existing job has been dragging you down, then there is an opportunity for new work this month, but be prepared to work hard :)
There are times when you need to put other things to one side and ride with an opportunity or hit a deadline, but this isn’t one of those occasions. Ordinarily, the Eight of Pentacles in the home area is no biggie, sometimes work beckons and has to be dealt with, no matter what the schedule, but with this three-card combination you could easily wander into workaholic zone without even realising.
It’s difficult to separate the two areas of your reading because they all meld into one, so the Eight of Pentacles is a bit of a lone wolf in present company (hence why I haven’t shown your area titles). The Four of Pentacles can be good when we need to work hard toward our ambitions but with The Devil it can become excessive or too focused upon the material side, (note how the merchant clings to his gold).
This is not to say that you should abandon responsibilities or the momentum of the good work achieved so far, you just need to ease up a bit. Leave the briefcase and calculator alone out of hours; they’ll still be there later. Enjoy some quality time in the company of your nearest and dearest and take in the scenery along the way. Once you reach the top of that mountain (as you surely will) the view will be so much sweeter when you get there. Relax… and enjoy!
Key card: Knight of Pentacles
Love: 0 The Fool
Career: Three of Wands
Love & Relationships: Figuratively speaking, new and unknown territory beckons, although for some it could be literal - change of scenery anyone?
Whilst The Fool indicates something new leaping in from out the blue, the Knight of Pentacles suggests it’s linked to something that’s gone on for a while. This may sound at cross-purposes but could show the arrival is somewhat unexpected, so could catch you a little off guard when it makes an entrance.
If you’re single this may be about to change and the way it emanates could be something of a surprise, a nice one, of course! Since it hits you when least anticipated, you could feel you’re suddenly facing a major choice of which way to jump.
These are the kind of cards that can appear when you’ve decided to take your house off the market and a buyer turns up, or a transfer that lingered so long you’d virtually written it off now steams into life; but something will make an impact upon the home and require a quick decision as to how/if to proceed.
Whatever these influences bring, it could feel as if it comes out of left field, so expect the unexpected and be ready for the ride!
Career & Business: If there’s a project you’ve been methodically working on, or something you’ve patiently been building in the background, your hard work is about to pay off.
Plans move forward and into action to bring a modicum of success, albeit the early stages but promising nonetheless, and moving in the right direction! As matters start to take shape and become established you have the opportunity to assess and shape the future direction of your goals.
All in all, it should leave you feeling pleased with your accomplishment. This small taste of success is enough to light your enthusiasm and make bigger plans now events are finally under way.
Key card: XX Judgement
Love: Nine of Pentacles
Career: XVII The Star
Love & Relationships: With Judgement as the key card, there’ll be an overall sense of resurrection to events this month.
A previous love interest could reawaken or a spark re-ignited, and these cards may indicate someone you’d consider to be quite independent by nature or of independent means. The renewal of an old association brings you back to a crossroad where you can replay the outcome by a different route. Once you take stock you’ll have a better idea how to proceed this time round.
The Nine of Pentacles brings some financial comfort into the home, perhaps a small luxury treat you’ve had your eye on for a while, or the rediscovery of a valued item you thought you’d lost! Money could surface from an old investment or even through an antique, but generally speaking, finances should improve and somehow have a past connection.
Career & Business: Something you may have considered to be dead in the water, or an opportunity long forgotten, now revs back into life and could turn out to hold surprising promise.
The Star shines on the future of your career horizon but the roots reach back into the past. People or places you were previously associated with could hold the key that leads to a revival in your affairs and, consequently, to your sense of optimism for the future.
Perhaps you see something in a new light; revamp or re-polish an old idea or project but present it differently - whatever it is, its time has come! There’s an almost fated sense of karmic connection to these influences, where the seeds you previously planted now bring forth results for past efforts and you can reap what you have sown. Have faith – and get your ducks in a row!
