Four of Swords Tarot Card Combinations and Meanings
Suit Element:
Air, analytical thought and intellect. Suit of challenges. Keywords and Phrases: Rest and recovery. Retreat and restore. Four of Swords Tarot Card Meanings The knight in the image of the Gilded Tarot has removed his armour and lays to rest. The three swords on the wall beside him symbolise the battles he has already fought, but the fourth sword is close to hand, in readiness for the journey ahead once he has regained and gathered strength. The Four of Swords indicates rest and recuperation after a challenging period, which I generally tend to see in a positive light, suggesting that you’ve come through the worst after a stressful situation and are now entering a time of healing. In general, it signifies a quiet time for mind, body, and spirit, to regroup, pull energy together, and recuperate. In relationship readings it can indicate withdrawing from the situation, as it suggests retreat and solitude. In business or financial matters it can indicate the need to quietly regroup, contemplate plans, to restore your position before continuing. If reversed or ill-dignified, resuming activities usually following delays.
