When designing the deck, instead of taking inspiration from gods, religion, otherworldly beings or even nature, we looked at the nature of humanity, and what lies at the very core of our being across all cultures - communication through storytelling.
We are vessels and conduits for all of life's experiences - the stories of our ancestors reside within each of us and the cards are a tool for tapping into that collective unconscious. The set is presented as a story with archetypal characters to help you connect the meanings and receive clear guidance.

As Angelo Nasios said, “If Tarot and Lenormand could have a child it would be the Chronicles of Destiny Fortune Cards.”
Some people struggle with Tarot because there can be various meanings that can apply, depending upon which cards they're with. Lenormand is short and precise but with a fairly specific technique based on positioning, and oracle cards tend to be more reflective. So we set out to create something that sat somewhere in between and remove the obstacles that people found confusing, but without compromising accuracy in readings.

Our intention was for a deck that's easy for everyone to enjoy using, so you can sit and read with the book to start with if you want to; you don't have to learn everything before starting to read. For instance, there are no suits or court cards, with only a few significators that you can choose whether or not to include, and there is a system to the cards but it's very simple to follow.
Although we offer our own guidance on how to read the cards there’s also the flexibility for your own interpretation if you wish. The cards are easy to use but no less profound in the wisdom they offer; and readers report they’ve been amazed by their accuracy.

Emily Ellershaw grew up surrounded by books and Tarot cards, which influenced her passion for writing and cartomancy. She is an English Literature graduate and lives with her husband and family in North Yorkshire, England, where she now has her own ever-expanding library and card collection.
Josephine Ellershaw’s journey with cartomancy now spans five decades, with many years professional experience providing readings to an international clientele.
